Enjoy the Best WWE Wrestling Matches of All Time

If you’re a fan of the WWE brand whether it’s Raw, Smackdown! or ECW then you know once the show ends on that particular night you’re counting down the days until the next two hour event. WWE has a website so you can get show recaps and other various news items that they just don’t show on the television. If you’re a hardcore fan sometimes you need a supplement to tide you over until that day of the week when “wrastlin” is all you care about. The WWE has been releasing DVD’s recently that allow you to go back in time so you can either recapture a special moment or see what you missed. The production is great and even though the feuds that fueled the matches might be gone from the current storyline they still hold enough weight to make them relevant. Plus, if you’re just getting into the WWE brand it might give you the history you never knew about. Either way, you’re going to be entertained.

Individual stories have been featured on such WWE Superstars as The Rock, Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Nature Boy Ric Flair. These DVD’s are fairly inexpensive for the amount of material you get, again the production is very good and its kind of fun to see how young Jim Ross and The King look in some older footage. It’s also interesting to see how the character has changed and who they were called at the time of filing. Hunter Hearst Hemsley is now called Triple H.

If you’re lucky enough to attend a live show for Raw, Smackdown! or ECW then chances are you can catch the rebroadcast on television and tell the friends who weren’t in attendance with you, “I was there!” If you can’t get to a pay-per-view show that has come to your town you can always check on line for the results or find a forum that discusses WWE. The best way to find out what happened and to keep it forever is to buy a DVD of the event. These pay-per-view DVD’s cost around $25.00, it’s cheaper than going and they don’t exclude anything. Many times you’ll get better coverage than if you attended, I know being in the arena and hearing the intros is electric and nothing can replace that but having the action in hand is just as fun.

Most retailers of movies carry WWE events; if they don’t you can special order them and have the store call you when it arrives. You can also visit www.wwe.com and order them that way. They have all the great seasonal DVD’s, Summerslam, Judgment Day, and the one that everybody wants, Wrestlemania. Each DVD is loaded with tons of footage, backstage promos and things you might have missed. Many WWE fans have started a collection of DVD’s that hold special meaning. If you grew up watching The Rock then the DVD about his story and time in the WWE is timeless.

The Undertaker has been a phenom for many years in the WWE. His unbeaten streak at Wrestlemania has caused everyone to try and knock him off the top of the ladder. Although he’s 12-0 at Wrestlemania he’s still had some great matches that allowed The Dead Man to entertain us all. Here are a few memorable ones. The Undertaker v. Brett Hart at Summerslam 1997. This was Brett’s last title reign after defeating The Undertaker. Wrestlemania 17 is where it looked like Triple H might end The Dead Mans winning streak but The Cerebral Assassin didn’t know who he was dealing with. Badd Blood with Shawn Michaels in 1997 was the first Hell in a Cell match, and it was appropriately named, Kane made his first appearance in this legendary match. Kurt Angle’s last great match in the WWE was No Way Out in 2006, both Superstars gave a great show and this ranks up there with one of the best performances ever.

You Know Nothing About Golf Clubs

Golf is a wonderful game. The most important components of golfing equipment are golf clubs. These are expensive items and should be purchased after careful selection. They also need proper care and maintenance for long life and continued accuracy of shots.

Golf clubs are of different types and a complete golf club set, that usually consists of 12/14 clubs, comprises of an assortment of different types. Clubs are known as woods, drivers, irons, wedges and putters and each is sub-classified and denoted by numbers that range from 1 to 9 and sometimes by higher numbers. A higher number means a shorter shaft and conversely a lower number means a longer shaft. Longer shafts cater to longer drives. Woods are used for hitting the longest shots. A number 1 wood also called a driver gives the longest shot of all.

The golf club comprises of three basic components:

Before making that golf club purchase, here are a few helpful tips to understand what is available on the market today.

Club heads are made from a variety of materials that include aluminum alloys, zinc, stainless steel and titanium to name a few, not forgetting the traditional materiel i.e. wood. Most expensive among all the materials used in club heads is titanium, which provides an excellent combination of lightweight and strength. There are may drivers using these materials that give the player some great advantages. Other materials less in use these days include graphite, plastics and ceramics. One material that is often confused with titanium is Ti-alloy, which is in fact aluminum with a trace of titanium. Club heads using Ti-alloy are low end and meant for beginners and juniors in golfing.

Club heads come in various shapes. The design features are based on the principle of weight distribution in the club head and are meant to give the best shots under different playing conditions. Some club heads are weighted around the perimeter; some have a low center of gravity etc. and each is called by a different name such as keel sole, wide body, cavity back, deep face, muscle back etc. Club heads come in different sizes that are denoted in cubic centimeters. Some may be of traditional size, some oversize and still others may be super-oversized.

Club shafts: Nowadays club shafts are usually made from steel or graphite. With advancement in manufacturing technology, graphite shafts are considered as the best in present times. They are very strong and much lighter than stainless steel and greatly lower the overall weight of the club. Club shafts are available in different flex ratings generally denoted by X (extra stiff), S (Stiff), R (Regular), A (for seniors) and L (Ladies). The shaft flex affects your swing and hitting with a shaft having a flex that does not match your swing will cause your shots to fly off your target. Today, Ping irons are one of the best sets available on the market, and offer all of the club shafts mentioned above.

Microwave Cooking Tips For All Kinds Of Foods

You might hear a lot of contradictory advice about how to cook in your microwave oven. If you’re confused about microwave cooking, don’t worry. It can be hard to learn solid information about this quick, convenient way of cooking. Here are a few microwave oven tips to help you, and if you need an affordable new or used one, you can shop here for a microwave.

Use the Correct Plastics

First, make sure you cook in the right plastics. Plastics work well in the microwave, and do a lot in the kitchen. But there are different plastics, and not all are heat proof. Some will melt and deform in the microwave. Others contain harmful substances that can leach into food that’s in contact with them if you heat them up. Because of this, it’s extremely important to make sure you use only plastics intended to be put in the microwave. Don’t be tempted to microwave butter tubs and similar packages, and only heat pre packaged foods that have microwaved instructions. If a food doesn’t have these instructions, take it out of the packaging before heating.

Cut Foods into Smaller Pieces

Food cooks best in the microwave oven if you use small pieces. Cut larger items into uniformly sized and shaped pieces, and spread them evenly in the dish you’re cooking in. While you’re cooking, you may need to turn them or rotate them. Foods that are unevenly sized should be placed with the thick parts towards the outside of the container, since outer areas cook faster than inner ones in a microwave.

Some Foods Require Piercing

You should pierce foods that have any kind of skin or shell before you cook them. Failure to pierce foods means that steam can build up inside, causing an explosion. Also, always cook in a slightly larger dish than you’d use for a conventional oven. A round or oval shaped container is better for microwave cooking than a rectangle or square. That’s because corners can cause heat build up.

Cooking Times

If using recipes, cook for the lower part of the state time range. It’s easy to cook food for a little bit longer, but you can’t un-cook anything! Microwaves without a turntable must be stopped periodically so that you can rotate the food. Remember that dishes inside the microwave will be very hot, so use an oven mitt.

Covers and Lids

If you cover a food in a conventional oven, use a lid in the microwave so that moisture will be retained and cooking will occur evenly. Lids should be left slightly ajar to make certain that there’s no pressure buildup inside the container. Lift lids carefully. Turn the opening away from you when you do this to prevent yourself from being burned. If you need to salt food, such as steamed vegetables or meat, do it after microwaving. This prevents it from drying out.

A Few More Microwave Cooking Ideas

When baking, you can use the microwave to help you with minor tasks. For instance, sticks of butter can be softened by heating on half power for thirty seconds. If heating sour cream or heavy cream, use lower power settings to prevent curdling. If your brown sugar has gotten hard, slice an apple or put a piece of bread into a loosely covered container with the sugar. Bread crumbs are made by microwaving cubed bread until stale, then crushing it inside a plastic bag.

What About Meats?

Frozen meat can be separated by defrosting for thirty seconds to a minute. If you want to cook it more in the microwave, arrange the meat evenly in a dish after separation. To drain fat from hamburger, microwave it in a plastic colander set on top of a bowl. The fat will run out of the meat and into the dish for easy disposal.

So, there you have it. All you need is an affordable countertop microwave oven to create your culinary magic.

The Value of Antiques

In most cities in the US you are going to be able to find antique shops, shops that specialize in porcelain dolls, stamps, old toys, and other collectibles. These stores have been around for years and there are new ones opening up periodically that cater to different niche markets. This leads one to wonder, what is it about collecting that is so fascinating?

You name it and there is some one out there collecting it. Items that are collected range from the gross to the exquisite and beautiful. What is the driving factor that makes people collect things. As a kid you had a collection and probably didn’t even realize it. Whether it was your favorite set of marbles, and army of GI Joes, dolls, teddy bears or comic books… you had a collection. There was something that you had to have, and you had more then one of and they gave you great pleasure and joy.

That is part of why people collect. For joy and pleasure. Remember what it felt like when you found that really awesome looking cat’s eye marble that no one else you knew had. It was your pride and joy, and you only every used it when you wanted to totally dismantle your opponent. Joy!

What about the teddy bear that was your mom’s when she was a kid, that as you got older you found out actually belonged to your grandmother when she was little. You never played with that teddy bear and you really only cuddled it at night on the really scary stormy nights. As you got older, it was the one bear that you held on to. It’s either kept in a special box now or you have given it to your child.

There are people that collect figurines, simply because they are beautiful and they bring joy to that person to be able to look at them everyday. Plus the excitement that comes with being the first to get the next figuring in a series is exciting.

There are other reasons that people collect though, which still have to do with joy and pleasure but in a different way. A person that collects old military items is collecting them for another reason. Yes, it’s a passion, it brings joy… but it also gives them a tie to the past. It is like holding onto a piece of history, all part of the Value of Antiques.

Antiques are beautiful, they simple don’t make things the way they used to. Great care and time was put into building a jewelry box 80 years ago, that isn’t done today. For some people collecting is an attempt to hold on to and cherish the beauty and dedication of the creator. Jewelry is also collected for beauty. My grandmother used to collect costume jewelry. She had an amazing collection of some of the oddest pieces I have every seen, but it was a joy for her. It made her different, unique to have that collection.

There is a great misconception that many people have, that collecting is about money. That the whole reason a person is collecting baseball cards is because they know that in 30 years part of that collection is going to be worth big money. I promise you when that collection was started it was done because that person had a love for the game and the people that played it. Collecting those baseball cards was there way to be a part of the magic that was going on, a way to be close to Babe Ruth. Ask them if they want to sell and they are going to tell you no. It isn’t about the money, it is about the connection to something they loved.

Collectibles can be passed on from generation to generation. Then they are heirlooms, but they are still collectibles. These collectibles are kept as a connection to history but also as a connection to the person that gave them the collection. So the fascination here is love and loss.

The reasons that people collect are endless. The fascination for collecting comes from within the person. It is there way to celebrate what brings them joy, what they consider beautiful, there connection to the past, to hold a piece of history and to honor someone that they have lost that they loved. You see, the Value of Antiques does not lie necessarily in their monetary value.

Muscle Cars

Muscle cars conjure up images of fast, high-performing cars that grab the eyes of other drivers and pedestrians no matter where they go.  These are the cars drivers dream about and that people long to take for a ride on the open highway where they can push the engine to the limit and feel incredibly free and empowered.
Muscle cars aren’t just a dream for many people.  These highly collectible automobiles have become an ideal choice for lots of drivers.

What are Muscle Cars?

Muscle car is a term that refers to a very specific type of automobile.  Usually, these cars are 2-door vehicles that are mid-size and that have rear wheel drive.  The most important part of muscle cars, however, is their V8 engine which is definitely not fuel efficient, but which is amazingly powerful.

In general, the term covers cars that have been built in three main countries:  the United States, Australia, and South Africa.  If you’re interested in what are known as “classic” muscle cars, then you’d be looking for cars which were built during the 1960’s and 1970’s.

One important distinction that should always be made is that muscle cars are not sports cars.  While sports cars are designed for high speeds and are meant for only a couple of people at a time, muscle cars are built for power and can usually hold larger numbers of passengers.  The other difference is price.  Original muscle cars were some of the more affordable ones on the market.  Sports cars have never been within the budget of the average driver.  Therefore, muscle cars have always been a car that appeals to a larger demographic hence it’s long-lasting appeal.

The History of Muscle Cars

Muscle cars have been part of our driving experiences for decades, even though the term itself didn’t enter the vernacular until long after these cars were considered new to the roadways.  One of the earliest examples of muscle cars on the market was the Oldsmobile Rocket 88 from 1949, although not everyone agrees that this vehicle represents the start of the muscle car trend.  The reason this one is considered a highlight of automobile design was its very powerful engine: an overhead valve V8.  Also, the body of the car being much lighter than previous cars that were on the market allowed for enhanced performance.

If you need greater proof of the Oldsmobile Rocket 88’s role in the history of high-performing muscle cars, look no further than the 1950 NASCAR season in which the car dominated the competition.  Eighty percent of the winners that year were driving this car.

Because of the Rocket 88’s huge success, it didn’t take long for more auto manufacturers to put their own muscle cars on the market.  The Chrysler C-300 was released in 1955 and had 300 horsepower.  This car had an amazing Hemi engine that earned it the title of the most powerful American car.  The automobile could reach 130 mph in less than 10 seconds – an impressive accomplishment more than five decades ago.

When the 1960’s started, the popularity of muscle cars skyrocketed.  Almost every manufacturer was putting versions on the market.  More powerful Hemi engines were becoming available and cars were going further and further.  Powerful vehicles were becoming some of the most popular choices all over the United States with choices such as the Ford Mustang, Plymouth Barracuda, Rambler Marlin, and more.

Drag racing furthered the trend even more and manufacturers in Detroit were doing everything they could to create the top cars for this dangerous activity to attract customers who valued speed and performance.

While it was the power that drivers wanted, it was the price that really attracted the young drivers.  For example, the 1970 Plymouth GTX 440 could be purchased for less than $3,500 without any extras while the 1970 Plymouth Duster cost just over $2,500.  Not only were these cars built to last in terms of their body but those powerful engines could easily last for more than 200,000 miles.  That’s a lot of driving for not much money.

Muscle Cars and Collectors

Looking back on the history of muscle cars, it shouldn’t be hard to understand why they became so popular, particularly among young drivers who had tight budgets but wanted a show piece.  Many of those cars, such as the Ford Mustang and the Pontiac GTO, are considered collector’s items.  Today, if you find one of these incredible cars at an auction you can see them selling for more than $500,000 depending on what they were and what they included.

Get In On The Webkinz Craze Now!

Webkinz are the latest craze in fun and educational toys for boys and girls.  There is truly something for everyone and it is really so much fun!  Here is some information about Webkinz.

What are Webkinz?  Webkinz are plush stuffed animals that have a code on their tag.  When you go to the Webkinz site your child can enter this code and receive a one year membership to the site.  They get to name their pet and even get an adoption certificate.  When they register they are given starter cash, food, and furniture for their virtual rooms.  If they want more they need to get more Webkinz money to do this.

What’s so great about the Webkinz site?  Well, pretty much everything!  This is a very fun site with plenty of games to amuse all age levels.  Although they market Webkinz to ages 6-13, even adults have fun on this site.  The games have varying difficulty levels.  They are also very educational.  These games teach fine motor skills, spelling, typing, patterns, grouping, math, computer skills, and more.  This is all in a game so kids don’t even realize they are learning.

Not only are there great games to play, but having a Webkinz pet teaches responsibility.  Your child has to feed and play with his or her Webkinz to keep it healthy.  If they neglect their virtual pet, it will get sick and have to visit the doctor.  This is great for kids who keep pestering their parents for a pet, but have a hard time proving that they can be responsible.

Your child will need to purchase food for their pet using Webkinz money.  They can earn more money by playing games, answering questions, and doing odd jobs at the employment office.  This is another level of responsibility.  Your child must earn the money to take care of their pet.  What a great life lesson!

The Webkinz site also has a section called Quizzy’s Corner where you can choose an age level and a category.  The categories are typical school subjects like math, social studies, english, etc.  Then it gives trivia questions which earn you Webkinz money.  This is very educational and provides kids with age appropriate learning experiences that can grow with them as they mature.

Kids are also able to chat with other Webkinz owners in a safe forum that only allows certain phrases to be used.  This makes it a controlled environment, yet it lets kids interact with other kids online.  Generosity and social niceties are also encouraged as kids are able to send mail to each other as well as give gifts to their friends online.

Webkinz pets are widely available and are relatively inexpensive when you consider all that comes with it.  Your child gets a cute stuffed animal to hold and play with, as well as an entire online world to in which to learn, play, and grow.  Webkinz cost anywhere from 9.99-14.99, and come in a variety of domestic, wild, and fantasy animals.

This is one fad that is totally worth jumping on the bandwagon.  Watch out though, you might find yourself playing your child’s Webkinz more than they do.  Well, you can always get your own Webkinz and create your own world.  Then you and your child can play in Webkinz world together! And if Webkinz are not your thing, check out our Wii Store for the latest in video games.

The kitchen of my dreams

I had that dream again. I am standing in the kitchen of my dreams. Picture yourself there in front of the double kitchen sink. The copper sink that is large big enough to wash the dogs, cats, and children. Although, you would not want to bathe the whole crew, at the same time! You can gaze out your kitchen window, and see the goats grazing on the hillside. If you wish to have a view of the woods, insert that image in place of the animals.

A dream kitchen has plenty of room for the whole family to gather. Everyone knows that this is the heartbeat of the home. All your friends are welcomed here. Valuable memories are stored in every dish you make. Love and laughter are served on a daily basis. Remember the time; the dog grabbed the roast off the kitchen counter, to the occasion when the girl’s soccer team decided to bake cookies. Every memory of happy times is wrapped up around your Old World style farmhouse kitchen sink.

The oversized oak wood kitchen island sits comfortably in the midst of the orchestrated chaos. The valued cookware is within arm’s reach, nestled in convenient storage overhead. Vases are filled with hand picked flowers from the flowerbed. The scent of cinnamon, baking in an apple pie, fills the welcoming kitchen air. Do not bang the pots too loudly or you may wake up from the kitchen of my dreams!

After a long day, you can find peace, and unwind in a dream kitchen. Cooking is not a dreaded chore, with ample space, and modern conveniences. Everything you need for a complete living recipe is at your fingertips. The country charm feels shines through to your guests with the time saver necessities hidden away from plain sight. You whip around the kitchen, like a famous chef, hosting your own televised ‘how to cook’ show. The audience is studying in the breakfast nook, while you stir up another tasty dinner creation.

Where would you be without your awesome farmhouse kitchen sink? You would be stuck in a nightmare, up to your elbows, overflowing with unwashed dishes. Wash that vision from your mind with an extra sink installed in the middle of your workspace. Now with every turn, you can toss those worries behind. Clean up is a breeze with a handy island butcher block located to fit your vast culinary needs.

There is no time wasted in this kitchen you adore. The children’s artwork is proudly displayed on the top of the line refrigerator door. Visitors are pulled like magnets into the kitchen of my dreams. Your image is reflected in the sheen of the hardwood floor. Whether you are planning a holiday party or whipping up a midnight snack, meals go like clockwork. Hunger is met at the kitchen bar where you greet your spouse for morning coffee. Troubles disappear as your little helpers magically load the dishwasher.

You can add spice to your life, and make this dream a reality. It is all here, in the kitchen of my dreams. Could you dim the light, on your way out? It is time I get back to sleep. You have shopping to do, for the double kitchen sink; you have had your eye on.

Internet Hosting: Your Website Depends On It

If you are planning on starting a website, whether it be a personal blog, an affiliate site or an ecommerce store, one of the most important things is the selection of your web host. If you’re not sure what a web host actually does, you need to understand its purpose before you launch your site. The files that make up your website have to be stored on a computer that is constantly connected to the Internet so vistiors can access your website at all times. A web host provides computers called servers for you to store your website on. These servers are constantly connected to the Internet and typically have back-up generators, back-up Internet connections, physical security and fire suppression systems to keep you online.

Before selecting your host, you should check out reviews from fellow webmasters on the top Internet hosting providers. By learning from the experiences of others, you can find the host that will most appropriately fill your website needs. Depending on your particular website needs, you may need more features that require specific hosts. On the other hand, a simple blog can be hosted at many different web hosts, sometimes for free. Whatever your choice, be sure your web host is reputable and offers you the flexibility to upgrade as your website needs grow.

Pellet Stoves the new Green way to Heat

FUEL EFFICIENT

Wood pellet stoves are a clean burning and efficient source of heat energy. Many wood pellet stoves on the market have been rated to have burning efficiencies higher that 85% and have no issues meeting stringent local and federal air quality standards. Compared to many wood stoves that have substantial ash buildup after one use, pellet stoves can run for weeks at a time and still not produce as much soot and ash as one days use with a wood burning stove.

ECO-FRIENDLY

The wood pellets that fuel these stoves are made from recycled sawdust that would otherwise be disposed of in landfills or incinerated in waste burners typically found at sawmills. Also wood is a natural renewable resource and by selecting wood pellets as a fuel source you are helping to recycle forestry related waste.

CONSISTENT HEAT SOURCE

Pellet stoves deliver the wood pellet fuel into the stoves combustible chamber on a regular and consistent basis. This means that you have a very steady and consistent source of heat for up to 72 hours before you have to refill the hopper with more wood pellets. No more feeding a wood stove chopped wood every couple of hours and facing hot and cold heating cycles as the wood burns strong then dies out.

HEATING CONVENIENCE

Fill up the hopper, start and go. That’s it! No more fussing around with kindling or chopping wood, stoking, and refilling every couple of hours. You can even run pellet stoves connected to a thermostat to regulate the temperature in the house. Pellet stoves offer true heating convenience without the hassles associated with traditional wood stoves.

COST EFFECTIVE

Wood Pellet stoves are the most efficient solid fuel source on the planet, and because the pellets are made from a wood waste product the cost is very inexpensive to run a pellet stove compared to other heating sources. The rising cost of other energy sources have also added to the gaining popularity of pellet stoves.

EASY TO CLEAN

Wood Pellet stoves are simple to clean. Most all of them have a simple lift out ash pans that are easy to dump. There is no wood pile mess, bark scraps, or having to sweeping out piles and piles of ash.
